Company is the first to announce plans for .agent and .crypto.
Top level domain name company Radix has revealed that it applied for 46 top level domain names in this year’s TLD expansion round.
The company said it started by reviewing 3.2 million words and terms and 1.8 million business and brand names for naming patterns, which produced 110,000 possible strings. It ran those against quantitative criteria, resulting in 580 finalist strings that it evaluated individually.
Radix broke its applications into seven categories:
1. AI, such as .mind and .agent (Radix is the first company to announce an application for .agent).
2. Technology, such as .bit and .labs
3. Bio & Health, such as .therapy and .pharma
4. Finance, such as .wealth and .crypto (Radix is the first company to announce an application for .crypto)
5. Business, such as .official and .mart
6. Creator, such as .podcast and .merch
7. Culture, such as .vibe and .zen

Radix is potentially facing lots of contention sets. Thirty-one of its names match those announced by other applicants already (although some of those announcements might be replacement strings). Three of its applications were already announced by three different applicants.
Radix currently runs ten TLDs from the last round, along with the ccTLD .pw.
