Namecheap is suffering from its second outage this month.
The company said that it’s experiencing technical issues with its shared hosting servers.
A post on the company’s status page doesn’t explain what the issue is and says it does not have an ETA for resolution as of 2:15 PT today.
The company lists 78 servers as being impacted.
Earlier this month, Namecheap experienced a prolonged outage of many of its hosting and email services after a storm in Phoenix caused cooling equipment to go offline.
Another interesting observation: proton mail had an identical incident where the cooling equipment failed, just yesterday.
What an amazing coincidence! Right across the other side of the world in Germany.
Question everything. Are these planned cyberattacks, or downtime to plant spyware or remove data from the servers, or something else? If something smells fishy there is usually a dead fish nearby.
