Gerardo Aristizabal, who applied in the 2012 round, is participating in the 2026 new TLD round.
Name Space LLC, a company backed by investors in Latin America, has applied for ten domains in this year’s new top level domain name expansion.
Its primary strings are:
mars
sound
hello
fest
aura
yam
ify
iii
yyy
brain
Five of these names – .mars, .hello, .iii, .yyy, and .brain – are possibly in contention with Link Freedom Group.
The company is not disclosing its replacement strings at this time.
Gerardo Aristizabal is leading the company. Aristizabal is CEO of CCI, a Colombian company that has a registrar and partnered with Team Internet to win the most recent .co contract. Name Space LLC is unaffiliated with any of those operations.
This isn’t Aristizabal’s first rodeo. In the 2012 round, he applied for .blog, .news, and .legal. He ended up winning .blog in partnership with Automattic (WordPress). That was a confidential private auction, but word is it closed around $20 million.

Name Space will use Team Internet as its registry service provider for any domains it successfully obtains.
