Suffix Domains and Phoenix Domain Partners disclose some of their applications.
Over the weekend, I posted stories about a couple of applicants and their strings.
Here are two more.
A founder of Suffix Domains posted on X about some of their applications:
.asap
.create
.future
.lfg
.mvp
.out
.pal
.planet
.research
.share
.tag
.this
.visit
The company’s rudimentary website suggests it has applied for as many as 89 strings. It’s possible it only disclosed these 13 domains because they are in conflict with strings that Link Freedom Group disclosed. (It’s not clear if all of them are primary strings for Link Freedom Group or if some are replacement strings.)
While the X account doesn’t show the person’s full identity, I can confirm they are connected to the domain industry and new TLDs. I am not sure if the final company name is Suffix Domains, though.
Another company, Phoenix Domain Partners, published 13 strings for which it says it has applied and paid the application fees:
.merch
.amor
.beach
.bbq
.chic
.comics
.connect
.jackpot
.pool
.quince
.quote
.therapy
.vibe
Four of its domains are potentially in contention with Link Freedom Group: .merch, .connect, .therapy, and .vibe.
.Quince is an interesting choice. It’s a fruit, but it’s also a large ecommerce brand.
Phoenix Domain Partners’ website is also quiet about who is behind the company, other than an email address for “Evatt”. This company also has experience with new TLDs.
If you are a new TLD applicant and would like to disclose your applied-for strings, please contact me.
