Each finalist is guaranteed a donation prize in this year’s contest.
Public Interest Registry, the organization behind .org domains, has named the 35 finalists for this year’s .Org Impact Awards.
The company whittled down 4,200 submissions to five for each award category:
- Community Building
- Quality Education for All
- Environmental Stewardship
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Health and Healing
- Hunger and Poverty
- Rising Star
Each finalist is guaranteed a $2,500 donation. If they win the category, they get $10,000. One organization will take home the $50,000 top prize.
Winners will be announced at an award ceremony on October 6 in Washington, D.C.
Emmy-winning television host Karamo Brown (known by his first name Karamo) will host this year’s awards ceremony.
