Bidding is starting to pick up in GoDaddy’s latest domain auction.
GoDaddy’s latest domain auction event ends this week, with lots ending on June 9-10.
The previous auction attracted over 7,000 bids from people in 60 countries. I’m not sure what the sell-through ratio was, but the auction was headlined by MortgageCalculators.com, which sold for $367,000. Other top sales included WellnessTravel.com for $36,500 and Asleep.com for $32,888.
This quarter’s auction features over 2,600 domain names. As of 1 pm PDT today, 121 of the names have bids.
Up for grabs this week are unemployment.com, bracelet.com, and medicalschool.com.
Kissed.com has the highest bid so far at $20,250. Yipi.com has the most bids at 45.
There are 34 domains that are 30 years or older, but only one of them has a bid so far.
A nice thing about the auction is that all domains start at their reserves, so people don’t have to waste their time bidding on domains that won’t sell.
Most bidders wait until the final minutes to participate, so you can expect a lot of action over the next 48 hours.
