.Com domain transactions hit record at Escrow.com.
Escrow.com released its Q1 Domain Investment Index today.
The company previously reported $128 million in domain sales for the quarter, its highest level in three years. The new report digs deeper into sales volume.
Here are some highlights:
- .Com domains accounted for $89 million, the highest ever for a quarter at Escrow.com
- . Ai transaction value plateaued, dropping 3% to $10.0 million. Still, it’s 3x the sales value of a year ago.
- One word .com domains had an average sales price of $402k (averages can be heavily skewed by outlier sales).
- The median price of a domain was $5,369. That was higher than the median price of active websites for the first time. (It’s possible that website trading is falling due to AI, especially as it impacts content sites.)

$5k-$7k seems to be the new sweet spot for .Com sales;-)
