Company expands beyond individual domain trading.

D3 will begin offering fractionalized ownership of domain name portfolios, the company announced today.
The company already sells fractional interests in individual domains through the Doma platform. While owners of those tokens can make money by reselling them to another trader, the real hope is that a domain sells on the open market and they get a bigger payday.
By selling fractions of a domain portfolio, tokenholders won’t need the entire portfolio to sell to realize returns. They will receive distributions as domains are sold in the portfolio.
Now, I think the trick for D3 is to make its trading easier to use. At this point, only active crypto traders can understand how it works. While that’s one market for D3, it could get domain investors to trade on the platform if it is simplified.
