2026 Global Domain Report discloses share of Sedo sales by transaction type, TLD, and more.

InterNetX and Sedo released the Global Domain Report 2026 today.
The 100-page report includes a lot of interesting data about the primary and secondary domain name markets. I tend to focus on the aftermarket section, which includes data from Sedo.
Here’s some interesting data from the report:
- 76% of Sedo’s sales in 2026 were buy now transactions. Negotiated make offer sales made up only 8% of transactions, with the rest being auctions, brokerage, and external agreements that used Sedo to complete transactions.
- 56% of sales were through SedoMLS partners, such as domain registrars that syndicate Sedo’s domain inventory.
- 66% of sales were .com, followed by Germany’s .de with 11%. (Sedo is based in Germany.) .Net and .org each accounted for 3%, although Sedo noted that the top end of the .net market was lower last year. .Ai accounted for 2%. Sedo sold domains in a whopping 383 different TLDs.
- Sedo’s median price overall was $818. .Com had a $595 median price.
The report has a lot of great data, and you can download it here.
IONOS is in the process of selling Sedo, and I hope that InterNetX and Sedo can collaborate on this report in the future, even if they are part of different companies.
