Tiny island territory relaunches .pn on modern platform.
An island territory with only 35 fulltime residents is relaunching its country code domain name today.
Pitcairn Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the South Pacific Ocean, has opened registration for its .pn domain.
While the domain has been around for a while, registrations were handled manually. That didn’t stop some companies from registering the domains when it was a perfect fit. For example, ESPN registered es.pn.
But today, the .pn domain goes live on a modern, automated system using Nominet’s registry platform as its backend technical provider.
The registry is pitching many possible uses for the name, such as cryptocurrency companies and AI businesses (with PN being short for “Prompt Network”)
Registrations are available for $129 per year at EnCirca and register.pn.

Hmm, I am sure I remember that Island from some news story a few year back…
Something similar to another island that was in the news more recently…
Yeah, not a great situation.
