IONOS CMO to lead Sedo as it goes through sale process.
An IONOS executive and board member has been named CEO of Sedo as the company works to sell the business.
Arthur Mai has replaced Michael Robrock, who has been CEO since 2020.
Mai is the chief marketing officer for IONOS, the publicly traded parent company of Sedo. He is also a board member. Mai has been involved with Sedo for a while, serving as a managing director and overseeing marketing for the unit.
IONOS announced in November that it decided to sell Sedo after revenue declined following the end of Google AdSense for Domains.
In its latest financial report, IONOS said it hopes to complete a transaction by the end of Q3 2026.
