It’s one of several promotions the company is offering to domain investors.
GoDaddy is offering a 3% sweetener to Afternic sellers who are willing to accept sales payouts in store credit.
The promotion runs from March 1st until April 30th, 2026, for sellers who choose GoDaddy’s Good as Gold payout option. The 3% bonus, applied to net payouts, will be added to account balances in May.
Good as Gold works as store credit and can be used for auction wins, registrations, transfers, etc.
This promotion is one of several that GoDaddy is currently running for domain investors.
It recently increased the monthly discount on auction purchases for Domain Discount Club Pro (DDC Pro) members. It increased from $20 to $30 and is valid once a month. DDC Pro costs $360 per year, so it’s effectively free if you use the monthly coupons. (This month’s coupon is MARPROWIN.)
Additionally, the company will soon announce a promotion for DDC Pro members for its premium auction running this month.
Sounds like desperation for more sales.
I don’t use the DDC club anymore and I rarely bid on domains at godaddy auctions.
At some point (now) you just have to say “NO” to GoDaddy jacking up prices!
