.Tech, .fun, and .space lead the way.

Top level domain name company Radix released its 2025 H2 Premiums Report (pdf) today, providing insight into the market for premium-priced top level domain registrations.
The company had a record half-year for premium domain name sales, nearly doubling the result of the second half of 2024.
There were 131 registrations at the $5,000 mark, 55 at the $10,000 mark, and 2 at the $25,000 mark.
Out of 4,268 premium registrations, 1,075 were .tech domains. .Fun was in second place with 980, followed by .space at 665.
.Space is an interesting standout. Real estate firms, coworking spaces, and space exploration-related entities are registering the domains.
Radix follows a high-high model, meaning its premium domains are more expensive than regular domains at both the initial registration and each renewal.
While the first-year premium renewal rate is 54%, domains that make it past that point are very likely to be renewed. Radix’s second-year premium renewal rate was 77%, and third+ was 87%.
