ICANN sends breach notices to seven domain name registrars with common ownership.
ICANN has sent breach notices to seven domain name registrars, informing them that they are late on paying accreditation fees.
All seven domain name registrars have a common contact: Alexey Gromov.
The registrars are HaveaName, Netestate, TopSystem, OpenName, NeuDomain, MisterNic, and InstantNames.
It doesn’t appear that any of the registrars are particularly active. None are accredited with Verisign to sell .com domain names. When visiting several of the registrar’s sites today, they had expired SSL certificates.
ICANN has given the registrars until March 4 to cure the breaches.
