Man who let domain expire gives up on lawsuit.
The former owner of blockchain.ai has voluntarily dismissed his lawsuit against Identity Digital, CentralNic, Namecheap, and OnlyDomains.
The dispute began when the domain expired and went through the normal registry expiration cycle, including auctioning the domain through Namecheap.
Blockchain.ai attracted significant attention at the auction and sold for $405,000.
Howard Gould filed a lawsuit, stating that he was the former owner of the domain and had properly renewed it before the auction.
The auction transaction went through despite the pending lawsuit.
After filing the initial suit, Gould never served the defendants. On Sunday, February 1, he filed with the court stating that he was voluntarily dismissing the suit.
