Squarespace Super Bowl commercial features iconic actress.

Squarespace is returning to the Super Bowl this month with another ad.
This one features actress Emma Stone, lamenting that emmastone.com is taken.
In an extended version of the ad (embedded below), Stone gets really upset that the domain name is taken.
But there’s good news. In a separate video published on emmastone.com, she reveals that she finally secured her domain name with the help of Squarespace. She also registered emmastone.life, .news, .world, and others.
In another video, Emma hilariously negotiates to get her domain.
It’s exciting for the domain industry that Squarespace is pushing domain names in this year’s ad, rather than just its site builder. Squarespace became one of the largest domain registrars after acquiring the Google Domains business in 2023. You can learn more about the registrar’s plans for its registrar in Domain Name Wire Podcast #559.

She has emmastone.com, what’s she so mad about?
Okay, I just read the rest of your article.

For an advertising campaign like this, emmastone.com should definitely have been registered by SquareSpace. I see Mark Monitor in whois.
That’s a good point. The other versions are registered at Squarespace. I can understand why Emma would prefer her key domain to be registered at a corporate registrar, but it’s not a great look for Squarespace.
Well done, and love her as an actress. I was briefly an actor myself, and as a kid went to acting school and had some experience in NYC.
