Top domain registrars: NameSilo hits milestone, Unstoppable Domains surges

A look at the top 10 .com registrars for both new monthly registrations and total domains under management.

ICANN has published the latest data from Verisign (NASDAQ: VRSN) covering the .com namespace. The data covers September 2025.

Here are some takeaways from this month’s data:

• • NameSilo recently announced that it has exceeded 6 million domains under management. As of September, it has 1.8 million .com domains under management. nTLDstats records that it has 2.5 million new TLDs, led by .top, .sbs, and .xyz.
  • Although it didn’t make the top 10, Unstoppable Domains surged with 59,635 new .com registrations in September.
  • TurnCommerce continues to registrar large numbers of domains after taking a hiatus.

Below is a chart showing the performance of the largest registrars in terms of new registrations in September 2025, which are the latest available numbers. Note that the rankings include multiple registrar accreditations within families of registrars. You can see the list of registrars at the end of this post.
