Cloudflare enters top 10 registrars for .com

A look at the top 10 .com registrars for both new monthly registrations and total domains under management.

ICANN has published the latest data from Verisign (NASDAQ: VRSN) covering the .com namespace. The data covers August 2025.

Here are some takeaways from this month’s data:

• • Cloudflare entered the monthly top 10 list for the first time.
  • TurnCommerce (DropCatch) increased its year-over-year registrations significantly for the second month in a row. It might be returning to buy mode, or it might have a customer ramping up.

Below is a chart showing the performance of the largest registrars in terms of new registrations in August 2025, which are the latest available numbers. Note that the rankings include multiple registrar accreditations within families of registrars. You can see the list of registrars at the end of this post.
