David Woroch will take over as CEO.

Elliot Noss is handing over the reins at Tucows (NASDAQ: TCX).
After 25 years at the company, Noss has left the CEO role but will remain on the board of directors.
Noss had been a long-time fixture in the domain name industry and was frequently at domain name conferences and ICANN meetings. He stepped back from his role in the industry in recent years to focus on Tucows’ fiber business.
In addition to remaining on the board, Noss will be a consultant to the Ting fiber business, which the company is trying to sell. The company does not expect to realize significant profit, if any, from the sale of the business.
Another long-time Tucows employee will step into the CEO role. David Woroch, who is CEO of the domains business, will take over.
Woroch will remain the CEO of Tucows Domains, and Ivan Ivanov, Tucows’ CFO, will add serving as CEO of Ting Internet to his duties.
The news was released in conjunction with Tucows’ third-quarter earnings report.
Tucow reported that third-quarter revenue increased 6.8% year over year to $98.6 million, and gross profit increased 9% to $24.2 million.
Revenue in the domains business increased 4.8% to $67.8 million, despite the company losing a major customer that took its domains in-house within the past year. The company again credited increased revenue from selling expired domains for some of its gross margin in the domains business.
Shares in Tucows are up sharply this morning.

I was the first Tucows advertiser when it was just one guy who was the IT guy at a library. I was on the Windows 98 and What’s New pages.
End of an era! I learned so much working for and with Elliot during my five years at Tucows. He is a brilliant and inspiring leader (and thinker and advocate and rebel) who can be both intimidating and funny at the same time! I wish him all the best for the next chapter in his life.
