Company goes after domains registered on cheap top level domains.

Central Source LLC, the company behind the AnnualCreditReport.com service, has filed an in rem lawsuit against domains it says are cybersquatting.
The company filed suit (pdf) this week against 12 domain names. All the domains have something in common: they are in top level domains that are cheap to register for the first year.
Most of the second level domains are either ‘freeannualcreditreport(s)’ or ‘myannualcreditreport’. These domains end in .site, .club, .shop, .store, .online, and .xyz.
The other domains are a bit more nefarious in nature, including some version of the .com of Central Source’s domain name. For example, ‘annual-credit-report-com’. These domains all use the .cfd top level domain name.
Central Source actively sues to recover domain names it says are infringing its marks. The company has filed 15 previous lawsuits, one of which covered 227 typos. It says it now has a collection of 600 domains that are similar to AnnualCreditReport.com.
AnnualCreditReport.com provides free access to credit reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
