Company terminates its one dot-brand top level domain.
Redstone Haute Couture Co., Ltd., a Chinese fashion company, has informed ICANN that it is terminating its .redstone top level domain name contract.
The company owns a number of fashion brands, including GIADA, CURIEL, Gabriele Colangelo, Colombo, and YI.
Under the .redstone top level domain, the company registered and used brand names including redstone.redstone and giada.redstone. It forwarded other domains, including curiel.redstone.
The company only applied for one top level domain in the last round of expansion, so it is exiting the program with this cancellation.
As is usual with dot-brand domain names, ICANN has made a preliminary determination not to assign the domain to another party. A comment period on that decision runs through May 17.
