Changes to the Sales page and LTO dashboard would be welcome improvements.
Afternic is adding lots of new features and improving its dashboard. These are welcome changes, but there are a couple of things that have bothered me for a while that I’d like to see fast-tracked. Writing about these types of things seems to be a good way to nudge companies into action.
First, I’d like the Sales page to automatically be sorted. Right now, there doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to how the domains are displayed when you visit the page. For example, here are the sales it shows at the top of my sales page:

It doesn’t make any sense. I typically sort by Payout Date to see my most recent sales, and I think it should be sorted this way by default. Better yet, add a Sale Date column and presort by that.
[Update April 7, 2025: Afternic has made this change. There is now a “sold date” column and the page is automatically sorted by it.]
The other change I’d like to see is on the lease-to-own page. Right now, the dashboard shows this:

If you click through to the domain details page, you can see how many installments have been paid. But this is one of the most important things I want to know, and the overview page should show the number of installments that have been paid.
I hope Afternic is able to make these improvements soon.

Great suggestions, completely agree. The Leased Out page should also have quick filters for Active and Completed too, not just Cancelled.
It would also be nice if they had a page to view your payouts, and be able to click on them to see exactly what the batch payments included.
It’s insane that the only record of a payout is an email that sometimes doesn’t get sent or delivered, and even when it does it gives no insight into what it was for.
Not a huge problem if you don’t make frequent sales, but our batch payouts often include multiple BIN sales and dozens of LTO payments, and it’s a huge pain to account for everything and make sure nothing slipped through the cracks.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the feedback. You’ll be pleased to hear the team is adding a “Sold Date” column to the “Sold” page, which will be released very soon – I will update you via email when it’s added.
The team’s also looking into adding installments to the LTO dashboard.
