Luxury carmaker Bentley has decided it no longer needs its own top level domain name.
Bentley Motors Limited is terminating its dot-brand top level domain, .bentley.
The automotive company informed the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) on December 13 that it planned to cancel its contract to run the domain. ICANN made a preliminary determination not to transfer the domain to another entity on February 15, kicking off a one-month comment period.
Bentley registered a handful of domains under .bentley, including extraordinaryjourneys.bentley, service.bentley, and events.bentley. As of February 15, these domains forwarded to pages on the company’s main website.

Sensible. A waste of money. (A bit like my portfolio, that includes names I have never had an enquiry for in more than 20 years.)
PS. What a gorgeous looking motorcar (the light blue convertible). If I sell a name for $300K this week, I will buy one!
wise choice, as these domain names require a lot of effort to give them a reputation
