The company will advertise in the Super Bowl after an eight-year absence.

GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) is back…in the Super Bowl.
The company announced today that it will advertise in February’s Super Bowl, with one ad spot booked in the fourth quarter of the game.
GoDaddy’s early Super Bowl commercials put the company on the map. The company started in the 2005 Super Bowl and usually opted for controversial ads. The controversy helped the company get even more exposure before and after the games.
This season’s ad isn’t expected to be controversial. Instead, GoDaddy will use its 30 seconds to promote Airo, its AI tool for getting businesses online.
One of GoDaddy’s biggest competitors for website builders, Squarespace, is a consistent advertiser in the Super Bowl.

Hmm… Am I smelling sales trouble..?
