Domain industry has two opportunities to get together in November.
Two in-person domain name events are happening in November.
First, the sold-out Domain Days returns to Dubai on November 5 and 6.
In addition to a packed agenda of panels, Right of the Dot will hold a live domain name auction. Bidding is already open, with lots closing on November 6 from 12:15-1:15 PM Dubai time.
Second, ICANN will hold its Annual General Meeting in Istanbul from November 9-14 at the Istanbul Congress Center. Virtual attendance is also possible.
On Monday, November 11, I’m moderating a discussion about different types of top level domains, their business models, and lessons learned. It should be a good session for people interested in applying for a TLD in the next round. (Feel free to send me any questions you’d like asked ahead of time.)
The relative geographic proximity of these events means that many domain investors traveling from far away will attend both.
