Scoop Soldiers might have better luck in court than it did with UDRP.
A poop-scooping franchisor has filed a federal lawsuit in a domain name dispute.
Scoop Soldiers Service Company, LLC filed the lawsuit (pdf) in U.S. District Court against Top Paw Distributing LLC over the domain name ScoopSoldier .com (singular).
The lawsuit comes after Scoops Soldiers twice failed to get the domain name through the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). In the second dispute, the panel found it was a case of reverse domain name hijacking because Scoop Soldiers refiled a case without justification.
However, Scoop Soldiers might have a good case in the eyes of the court. As I wrote when covering the reverse domain name hijacking case, a court case can look further into Top Paw’s motives for registering the domain name. Although the first UDRP panel thought it was just a coincidence that Top Paw registered the name, discovery might show otherwise.

Quote: “discovery might show otherwise”. End Quote. Yes of course ,providing the Party actually do disclose adverse documents, which I have found many Parties do NOT comply with properly. Yes I know there may be penalties listed somewhere in the Rules of Court, but mnay Parties do not give a damn for such rules.
What a shitshow
