Investor still hasn’t been paid back.
A domain name investor has sued Rob Monster, the old Epik entity, and Masterbucks LLC, alleging the parties owe him over $1 million.
Luigi Marruso filed the lawsuit (pdf) in U.S. District Court in the Western District of Washington last week.
He alleges that the parties ran an escrow service that failed to keep customers’ funds separated, and he is owed money from multiple accounts totaling over $1 million.
The lawsuit makes claims for fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, RICO violations, and other claims.
It includes emails sent from Epik’s former CEO, Brian Royce, to the investor, notifying him that the funds were being converted into store credit.
Many of Epik’s assets, including its domain registrar, were sold to a new entity last year.

Nice to see what kind of documents from the discovery.
Should be a class action lawsuit as many clients are affected
Epik snatched 4 domains from me. The worst part is ICANN didn’t do a thing,
The current owners of Epik told me they will look into that matter.
I did purchase a nice comfortable chair and remain waiting. At least, my rear end is not sore…
