Finding good domain names available for hand registration is a skill that only the best domain name investors are good at. I count myself in that category.

I was surprised to see this domain in my GoDaddy account when I logged in over the weekend. But this isn’t the case of an error on GoDaddy’s part. I have a good idea of how I registered this domain by accident.
I do a lot of testing as part of writing about domains for Domain Name Wire. I’m sure I typed in these random letters to test how GoDaddy presented domains in the cart. I forgot to delete it from the account, and then the next time I placed an order I became the proud new registrant of this domain name.
I’ve renewed about $5,000 of domains in the past week, and it must have been sitting in the cart when I renewed some names.
Needless to say, I made sure to turn off auto-renew.

Been there done that. I’m the proud owner of a misspelled domain name right now. And yes Auto renew is turned off.
What I do, is copy the domain name and then ask ChatGPT to confirm the spelling.
