A slow holiday month for Newfold Digital domain auctions.
Sales at Newfold Digital’s domain aftermarkets, NameJet and SnapNames, slowed considerably during the holiday season.
The company published sales of $2,000 or more, and I count 81 sales for $317k total.
Sean Markey will do a roundup of some of the SEO-driven sales. For now, here are domains that jumped out to me:
Jvz.com $14,601 – This is close to the floor for a three letter domain name. The z might excite people in China; all three letters turn people off in the US.
Psy.co $9,090 – A bit of a domain hack.
Nanosecond.com $6,123 – This is a great brand that connotates speed.
Wildfires.com $3,700 – This was a brokerage sale, not an auction. The buyer got a fantastic deal.
IceSculptures.com $3,200 – It’s a descriptive domain without much use other than selling ice sculpture services, but this is a good price.
ExerciseBall.com $2,050 – Descriptive like IceSculptures.com, but this is a case where I think the plural version would be better.
