A TV repair company (they still exist!), a coffee maker company, and a site that helps you quit bought domain names.
GDPR has had a significant impact on the domain name industry. One of the ways it has impacted me is that it’s much harder to research who acquired domain names.
Sedo reported 55 sales of $2,000 or more for the past week. Only three of these domains have any information about the registrant in Whois.
That makes it challenging to report end user sales. However, combining these public records and where domains point helped me discover nine buyers. It’s less than I’d like. But as my kid’s nursery school teacher used to say, “You get what you get, and you don’t throw a fit.”
Here’s a list of the end user domain name sales that just completed at Sedo. You can view previous lists like this here.
FMJ.com $26,000 – The domain forwards to the website for Ban-Air, which sells equipment to militaries. I can’t figure out its interest in this domain name.
CoachingTools.com $20,000 – This domain forwards to PsychologyTools.com, a site offering tools for therapists.
Woments.com $3,995 – Amcore Balance, S.L. is a grocery and supplements company. It has a product line called Woments.
Repair-Shop.com $3,247 – Craigavon TV Service Centre in Ireland bought this domain name.
Pflegewegweiser.de €3,500 – Pflegewegweiser is an in-home nursing company. It forwards this domain to its website at pflegewegweiser.net.
MyLongevity.de €2,499 – A MarkMonitor client bought this domain name.
Kaffeeklatsch.de €2,400 – Kaffee Klatsch sells coffee makers and water dispensers in Hamburg.
Quit.de $2,222 – This domain forwards to the website for Ontervent, a business that helps you change bad habits such as excessive gaming, gambling, social media, etc. This seems like a great price for this domain.
Creepy.org £2,000 – I’m not sure who bought it, but they’re installing something with WordPress.
Thanks Andrew; your end-user sale reports are always my favorite posts.
