This ad was impossible to forget even though it uses a three word domain.
I’ve had quite a bit of luck over the years selling three word .com domains. The trick is to find catchy phrases that are easy to remember.
Here’s an example of a three word domain that’s easy to remember. Last night I watched the St. Louis Blues vs. Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey game. An ad wrapped around the glass consisted solely of a domain name and was impossible to miss: DontBeBroke .com.
Dollar Loan Center uses the domain name to pitch people on loans that will likely cause them to eventually go broke.
I usually don’t acquire three word domains with contractions because there are no apostrophes in domain names, but I think most people understand this now and won’t try to type in an apostrophe when going to the website.
It looks like Dollar Loan Center uses this domain in lots of advertising so it can’t directly correlate the hockey game advertising to traffic, although it might see an uptick during games. It’s also a domain that people will recall later on when they’re in a bind and need some cash.
