A workplace furniture manufacturer, a recycling company, and a fitness studio bought domain names on the aftermarket.
The top sale at Sedo this past week was Triple.com for $220,000. It’s not yet clear who bought the domain, and it could be a domain investor instead of an end user.
Here are some of the names sold at Sedo over the past week that I could tie to end users. You can view previous lists like this here.
Lygon.com $12,000 – I’m going to count this as an end user sale, but I’m not 100% sure. The buyer used the registrant organization name “Lygon” in Whois. It’s a surname, so that might be the person’s name.
HNIGlobal.com $8,000 – HNI Corporation in Iowa manufactures workplace furniture and residential fireplaces. It uses the domain HNICorp.com.
Fly3D.com $7,000 – A MarkMonitor client bought this domain. It’s using MarkMonitor’s whois privacy service.
RefApp.com $6,449 – Talentwise AB is a hiring technology company. It uses the domain RefApp.se for a digital reference checking solution.
RegSpot.com $5,940 – Whois lists the law firm Akin Gump, so it’s likely for one of the firm’s clients.
GreenHalo.com $5,900 – Green Halo Systems Inc is a recycling company. It forwards this domain to GreenHaloSystems.com.
PastaFresh.com €5,500 – The buyer is setting up a website related to food.
TaurusEnergy.com $4,399 – Whois lists the owner as Taurus Energy in the United Arab Emirates.
Amplify.eu €3,599 – Amplify is a fitness studio in Portugal.
AladdinInvestment.com $3,500 – A MarkMonitor client bought this domain. My money is on BlackRock, which sells a product called Aladdin.
ShareVisor.com $3,355 – Oak Tree Financial, a financial advisor in Austin, Texas.
Honold.com €3,000 – Honold Treuhand AG is an auditing firm. It forwards this domain to honoldtreuhand.ch.
AbleLight.com $2,999 – Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Inc. provides services and support to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities find a sense of community and belonging. I’m not sure what this domain will be for.
Cloud-partner.com €2,990 – Whois shows InternetX is the buyer. InternetX is a hosting and domain company in the same corporate family as Sedo, so it may be for a client. But my guess is the company will use this domain for its owns services.
Workable.eu €2,650 – Workable is a hiring software company. It forwards this domain to its main website at Workable.com.
Myra.eu €2,499 – Myra is a cybersecurity company that uses the domain name MyraSecurity.com.
FameEngine.com $2,299 – Fame Engine is a social media marketing company.
CarWorx.de €2,000 – CarWorx is an auto repair shop in Germany.
