Group will fill three board seats among other positions.
The 2021 ICANN Nominating Committee (NomCom) will fill nine positions this year.
The Nominating Committee is an independent committee made up of 21 people, 15 of whom have voting privileges. ICANN’s bylaws state that NomCom is responsible for nominating all Directors except the President and those selected by other supporting organizations and advisory committees.
NomCom is seeking candidates for nine positions:
- Three members of the ICANN Board of Directors
- Three regional representatives to the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) – (one each from Africa, Asia/Australia/Pacific Islands, and Latin America/Caribbean regions)
- Two members of the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Council
- One member of the Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) Council
The application process will begin in mid-January. If you’ve been thinking about taking a more active role in ICANN, consider applying to one of these positions.
