Revenue keeps surging ahead at Namecheap.
Privately-held domain name registrar Namecheap has more to celebrate this year than just its 20th anniversary.
The company saw 38.5% revenue growth in Q3 2020 compared to Q3 2019, the company disclosed to Domain Name Wire. Q3 revenue clocked in at $51.7 million.
Year-to-date revenue is $146.5 million, up 33% from the same period in 2019.
Like many of its peers, Namecheap experienced a surge in registrations as people shifted their business strategies online due to the pandemic. Net domains under management increased by 653,000 in Q3, bringing the total to 12 million. 324,000 new customers signed up during the quarter, a 62% increase over the same period last year. 859,000 new customers registered at Namecheap so far this year, which represents a 59% increase from last year.
Namecheap CEO Richard Kirkendall told Domain Name Wire, “Namecheap continues to invest these earnings into our product and platform improvements to bring more value and a richer experience to our customers every day.”
