Two domain sales services have partnered wit DAN.com.
Two domain name sales services have completed their integrations with DAN.com for payments.
Both Efty and Domain Name Wholesale Exchange (DNWE) now enable payments through Dan.com.
For Efty, Dan.com joins other payment options, such as Escrow.com. Sellers can opt-in to offering Dan.com as a payment method. Dan.com will charge sellers 5% to complete the transaction.
For DNWE, Dan.com is now the sole payment and sales fulfillment platform. (DNWE also reset all domains over the weekend, requiring sellers to re-opt-in to sell them.)
Dan.com accepts payments via credit card, PayPal, Alipay, wire and bitcoin. It also has generous payment limits, reducing the friction of selling domain names.
Escrow seems a lot cheaper than paying 5% to Dan to facilitate payments.
It depends on the dollar amount of the domain. For Under $5,000, Escrow.com charges 6.3% including credit card fees. And for over $5,000, Escrow.com doesn’t allow credit cards/PayPal. So it depends on what types of payments you want to accept and your typical dollar mount. It’s nice that Efty is offering the options to sellers.
