Site will expand to cover other social and environmental responsibility responses.
Ben Padnos has launched done.com as a social responsibility platform that will start by covering how key people are responding to the Covid-19 crisis. It will later expand to include broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) coverage.
The site’s tagline is “What have they done?”
Padnos was an early employee at Yahoo! and has used premium domain names for businesses in the past. He previously bought Women.com and Women.net for $1 million in a deal that ultimately had to be enforced by the courts.
Explaining the premise behind done.com, Padnos said, “We want to show people how leaders can demonstrate a willingness to lead with empathy – but also to publicize the pain caused by their selfishness, greed, or inaction. We aim to shine the bright lights of transparency on brands, organizations, and people and commend them or hold them accountable.”
The site currently has information about how banks, Amazon.com, the Trump Administration, and other important players are responding to the pandemic.
