GoodRx and several manufacturing companies bought domain names.
GoodRx has become a popular app because of the rising cost of prescription drugs. The company purchased GDRX.com through Sedo this past week. Sure seems like it would make a good stock ticker!
Here’s a look at some of the domains end users bought at Sedo this past week. You can review previous end user sales lists here.
EventDesigner.com $23,400 – Cloth Connection offers specialty linen rentals for events.
GDRX.com $10,000 – This 4 Letter .com domain was bought by the hugely successful prescription drug discount app, GoodRx. GDRX would make a good stock ticker, wouldn’t it?
C4Design.com $10,000 – C4Design is a design firm. Its website shows pictures of boats and other items it has presumably designed.
QPTechnologies.com $5,000 – Promex Industries, which provides microelectronics assembly and packaging services, bought this domain through SedoMLS.
Appolution.com $5,000 – ASC Process Systems bought this domain. It manufactures autoclaves and ovens for the aerospace, composites, nuclear, vulcanizing, and glass industries. I’m not sure what it will use this domain for.
Genuss.com €4,900 – Forwards to Genuss.de, a German website with luxury food and alcohol goods
Securteam.com $4,662 – SecureTeam offers secured chat and video for remote teams. I worry about the security of a company that uses a brand name that’s a misspelling. When I go to the “correct” spelling, I get a security certificate error. Historical screenshots show that the correctly-spelled domain goes to a site promoting underground news leaks.
Brit.co.uk £3,999 – A UK-based affiliate network.
MaestroMedia.com $3,500 – Maestro Media Ventures, which owns the longer domain MaestroMediaVentures.com.
VogueShoes.com $3,500 – Vogue Shoes is a shoe retailer in Seguin, Texas.
Stereofy.com $3,420 – An app in development for a personal and work communication tool where users can create and shareable audio.
Mediatek.jp $3,000 – Forwards to Mediatek.com, the site for a digital resolution service provider for gaming and televisions.
ProHuman.com $2,999 – Purchased by Protorisk, an advisory, risk management and reporting services firm focused on price risk management with derivatives.
TCF.eu €2,500 – The domain forwards to TCF.cz, the website for Twin City Fan Companies Ltd., an engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in the production of radial and axial fans and accessories for industrial applications.
Bitventure.com €2,500 – Forwards to BitVenture.co.za, the site of BitVenture, which provides digital verification such as fingerprint and facial recognization.
FirstLineHealth.com $2,200 – HealthyMouth LLC, provides dental goods for cats, dogs, and horses.
