Company registers deragatory domains about its new CEO.
Pharmaceutical company Abbott (NYSE: ABT) has named a new CEO and, with the announcement, snapped up a bunch of defensive domain name registrations.
Last month, the company announced that current COO Robert Ford will take over as CEO next March.
This week, the company registered dozens of domain names that include its new CEO’s name.
Some are friendly, such as robertford.bio and robert-ford.co.
But many of them are derogatory domains that the company wants to keep out of the hands of detractors. These include robertford.exposed, robertbfordsucks.com, and many other ‘sucks’ domains.
While companies often make defensive domain name registrations like these, it can be an exercise in futility. It doesn’t take much imagination to think of other derogatory domains to register.

The very fact they did this now makes me highly suspicious about his past. This may back fire lol
