Most domains haven’t hit reserve yet.
The extended online auction for this year’s NamesCon auction ends on Wednesday. There’s a lot of bidding activity already but most of it is below reserve prices.
CPU.com is the highest at $606,000. There are four bidders at $600k or more, which is somewhat surprising given that the reserve range is between $600,001 and $700,000. Either some people know the reserve and are underbidding or there are several people interested in taking this domain home.
The highest bid on a domain that has met its reserve is LondonFashion.com at $1,333. Other domains that will sell (all under $500 so far) include Tazed.com (be careful how you use that), Plunged.com, JarCandle.com, Akxs.com, BioMedEngineer.com, BioMedEngineering.com, Boater.club, Decriminalized.com, SmartSki.com, YourDate.com, Race.info, and Sciv.com.

You mean people especially people in the end user market won’t have to see those Estibot figures with each listing anymore? Great, and I hope you saw this today:

Estibot is great. Short domains are best. Long-tail domains are junko, and those who promote them are LOL dumm

So droll, Zip, so droll…

“Most domains haven’t hit reserve yet.”
LOL, you have to laugh, in that sober minded way in the face of insanity.
You know the funny thing is, we already know you can pretty much forget about “domainers” ponying up real value most of the time.
Which of course leaves the real world end user market, the real market of us all. And there’s something about members of “the real world” showing up and seeing that the industry’s de facto “official” medium for “appraisal” says the value of a listing is really really far below it’s reserve and that makes you go “hmm.”
Unreal. Just unreal.
