A high-end furniture designer, a mortgage leads company and a German manufacturer bought domain names last week.
This week’s end user sales list is headlined by a new top level domain sale — design.online.
You might recall that Sedo sold Casino.online for just over $200,000 last year. That sale was direct from the registry.
In this case, DomainTools historical Whois records show that .online registry Radix sold design.online about a year ago. So this appears to be a resale rather than a registry sale. Update: I heard from Radix and this was actually a direct sale. The domain was registered under privacy about a year ago, but this was Radix putting up a for-sale lander.
Design.online started forwarding to the website for Australian furniture designer King Living after the sale.
That wasn’t the only nice end user sale at Sedo this past week. Let’s get to the list:
(You can view previous lists like this here.)
Design.Online $57,500 – Forwards to King Living’s website kingliving.com.au. King Living is an Australian furniture designer with storeroom locations as well as an online shop.
IDWell.com $20,000 – The Whois shows this name was purchased by Vladimir Kim in Russia. It remains to be seen what this domain will be used for.
FlowX.com $12,000 – This 5-figure sale resolves to a “coming soon” page that says “flow currency” and claims to be in the process of launching the world’s first asset-backed currency since the US left the gold standard in 1971. Will it be based on cryptocurrency?
FHACalculator.com $7,000 – Mortgage Research Center, an independent technology provider helping mortgage lenders generate leads. One would assume they will use this site to provide an FHA loan calculator tool to generate leads.
Lynx.co £6,999 – The Whois shows that this name was purchased by People & Computers, a media outlet and event/conference organizer in Israel.
AICampus.com $6,831 – This site is already up and running as an online training program for Artificial Intelligence with tracks for both managers and developers.
KeyEducation.com $5,500 – The Whois shows the new owner of this site is Vancouver education consultants and program provider, Key Education. It currently uses the domain name KeyAdmissions.com
Smaat.com $5,500 – Forwards to the English version site for a digital marketing agency rooted in the Middle East.
Firesec.com $4,995 – Forwards to the German version of firesec-brandschutz.de. This is a German manufacturer of building materials that contain fire protection.
HyperSat.com €3,900 – This is a site for space-based hyperspectral imaging which uses a spectrometer orbiting on a satellite bus to measure 200+ contiguous spectral bands with a sub-10 meter ground sample distance reflecting from the Earth’s surface, capturing the information in 3-D data cubes. Got it?
LedTek.de €2,000 – A German LED Technology Company.
