A vacation rental company, venture capital firm and car dealer bought domain names at Sedo.
Sedo’s top reported sale of the week was MagicFiber.com for $28,000. The buyer sells a microfiber cloth and used the domain name TheMagicFiber.com.
Other end users also bought domain names through Sedo over the past week. Many of the purchases were ccTLDs, including Wix buying Wix.cm and a venture capital firm picking up Launch.vc.

MagicFiber.com $28,000 – Just like Facebook, Magic Fiber realized it needed to drop the ‘the’ from its domain name.
Traum.at €8,000 – Traum-Ferienwohnungen GmbH is a vacation rental company in Europe.
VivoLife.com $8,000 – Vivo Life sells food supplements at VivoLife.co.uk.
Wix.cm $5,000 – Website builder Wix.
UltimateMD.com $5,000 – Concierge healthcare provider Ultimate M.D., LLC. uses the domain name UltMD.com.
NYSEM.com $4,950 – The Collective is a music training school in New York. I’m not sure what the SEM part of the domain refers to.
WebTraffix.com $4,250 – WebTraffix, LLC is an SEO company.
Fabiola.com €4,000 – Fabiola B.V. in Amsterdam.
Launch.vc $4,000 – Launch Ventures says it “owns and operates a network of proprietary incubators, innovation labs, living labs, and investment funds.”
Enterprises.co.uk €3,999 – Car rental company Enterprise.
Optor.com $3,500 – IT products distributor Elko Group. There’s no mention of a product or service called Optor on its website.
UlrichMedical.fr €3,000 – German company Ulrich GmbH & Co. KG uses UlrichMedical.com.
FishPharm.com $2,900 – The buyer is using Whois privacy but is setting up a store on Shopify.
Cryptod.com $2,895 – The buyer has Whois privacy but is setting up a cryptocurrency forum.
BuildingCure.com $2,888 – Seattle Children’s Hospital. Building Cure is the name of its expanded research facility.
CarsKC.com $2,688 – Kansas City car dealer Cars-KC realized a hyphen in its domain name was a bad idea.
TrueMessage.com $2,588 – True Message promises “The Evolution of B2C Communications”.
Ckbk.com $2,588 – A four-letter acronym? It looks more like an abbreviation of Cookbook for 1000Cookbooks.com. Perhaps a URL shortener.
Aymira.com €2,400 – Aym Technologies LLC in North Carolina.
LeakProof.com $2,250- Products company Aydya bought this for its Ion8 Leak Proof Water Bottles
CMLconnect.org $2,000 – Coles is an Australian supermarket chain. I’m baffled by this purchase. The .com is owned by someone else and the .com.au is unregistered.
