Afternic doubles the maximum listing price.
Want to sell your domain names using Afternic’s extended partner network using Fast Transfer but don’t want to sell your domains for under $25,000? You’re in luck.
Afternic has increased the maximum price for a domain to take advantage of Fast Transfer from $25,000 to $50,000. This means that you can list your domains for sale with “buy now” prices of up to $50,000. If the domain sells through a participating partner, the domain will automatically be transferred to the buyer’s account.
In my experience, most purchases of this size usually involve some sort of negotiation. But Afternic clearly is seeing enough Buy Now sales near $25,000 to justify increasing the price.
I stopped using Afternic months ago. Things have really been going downhill with them the past few years. They provided good sales every now and then, but it’s just not worth the hassle to wrestle with their dilapidated site and their unhelpful (understaffed) customer support.
GoDaddy should use some of the Afternic commission money to re-invest in the Afternic platform. They continue milking the cash cow while leaving it in utter disrepair…

You are correct on both points.
1. Re-invest in the business.
2. Stop pocketing the high 20% commission.
