Registry cites fraud in a decision to halt .au registrations from Chinese resellers.
.au Domain Administration Ltd (auDA), the registry for Australia’s .au domain names, has instructed Tucows to cut off Chinese resellers from .au domain names.
Tucows operates both the OpenSRS and Enom reseller platforms, making it by far the dominant domain reseller company.
According to the company:
auDA cited an increased number of complaints they have received in recent months regarding domains that were fraudulently registered using unauthorized Australian business information. Those registrations, as auDA determined, appear to have originated from resellers based in China.
You must be a company or organization registered in Australia in order to register a .au domain name. Registrants are required to have an Australian Business Number.
The move came in August but was included in a newsletter Enom sent to all resellers today.

The whole system in Australia is corrupt and archaic.
Gone are the days of the wealthy picking any domain they wished to own while others were knocked back.
Simon Delzoppo and Adrian Kinderis are Shonkys and Thieves.
I spent over a year in a maximum security prison because of those shysters and the fools behind Australia’s so called domain space.

“Registry sites fraud” should be “Registry cites fraud”

Thanks. Too much writing about web sites, I suppose 🙂
