Company reports first earnings after acquiring Host Europe Group.
Domain name registrar and hosting company GoDaddy (NYSE:GDDY) reported second quarter earnings after the bell today.
The company reported $558 million topline revenue, up from $456 million in the same quarter a year ago. Without the benefit of the Host Europe Group (which GoDaddy acquired in April) revenue was $456 million. The company expects $577 million-$582 million in revenue in Q3.
Revenue from the domain segment was $263 million. That’s up sharply from $240.8 in Q2, but again, the number benefited from integrating the Host Europe Group business. More details will be available when the company releases its 10-Q.
So how much of that is real registrar business and how much is taking ownership of expired names and auctioning them off?
