Two digit domain name sells for seven digits.
Entrepreneur and investor Jason Calacanis has sold the domain name 20.com for $1.75 million to a Chinese buyer.
Last week, Calacanis tweeted:
Got a cash offer of 1.75m for https://t.co/xfklAPjOV1;feels like that capital would be better deployed in startups. Going to take it I think

According to historical Whois records at DomainTools, Calacanis acquired the domain name in 2006. It was originally registered in 1995.
Two domain name brokers were involved. Chinese domain name company 190.com represented the buyer. 190.com has been involved with a number of high-dollar sales. Joe Uddeme represented Calacanis.
Earlier this year, the domain name 01.com was reported sold for $1.82 million. Prior to that sale, it had been several years since a two digit .com domain name sale had been publicly disclosed, according to NameBio.
I noted 190.com were involved in sale so thought I would look at their website. Pray tell me please, HOW does anyone contact said company in China when they do not have any email address ?. Of course you can call the number and get someone speaking Chinese and if you speak Chinese OK. I can never understand websites that do not have any contact email address easily see-able.
Most ‘business’ people in China speak English.
1. What time do you call them ,are they 24 hours ?. 2. Well what I heard was Chinese and I spoke English and no English in return .

Reminds me of the license plates for automobiles in the middle east. The namepros article was very interesting.
