Some notable domain name sales on NameJet from the past month.
NameJet sold 156 domain names for $2,000 or more last month, totaling about $875,000. Here are ten domain names from the list worth mentioning:
HandJob.com $40,000 – notable because it sold for $90,000 in 2007.
Dresden.com $24,600 – not a bad price for such a large city.
Problems.com $24,500 – the seller has 24,500 fewer problems this month.
lol.tv $18,000 – did the buyer check if this has a premium renewal? Just sayin’…
Medicalstudent.com $9,350 – more commonly referred to as “med student” but lots of lead gen promise in this domain.
Arod.com $7,600 – someone pointed this out to me when it was in auction because baseballer Alex Rodriguez used to own the domain name.
Patent.net $6,900 – if the buyer is a troll, I own PatenTrolls.com.
HeathLedger.com $3,500 – how much is a domain name of a dead actor worth? About 3,500 bucks.
MortgageExperts.com $2,720 – the owner of Mortgage.Expert has it for sale with a BIN of $5,000.
BrandBar.com $2,030 – not to be confused with Brand.bar, a domain name site.
I think “Arod.com” is a steal. LLLL, dot com, Pronounceable. That’s Number 1.
Number 2 is why couldn’t Arod afford this name. He signed a 10 year $252M contract in 2000, and a 10 year $275M contract in 2007. He used to own it? and let it drop? wtf?
Yeah his name/legacy is tarnished and some people call him “Afraud” because of his past PED use but he is a genuinely nice guy, and a great asset to FOX broadcasting crew. (Was on a trial basis but now Full time because it went very very well)
Baseball is predominantly Hispanic. “Arod” is short for Alex Rodriguez, a name I think we will see resurface somewhere in the future, whether in sports or in the business world alike. Someone is going to want that name.
Congrats to the buyer! Probably sold for so low(ish) because they were scared Arod would sue to get his name back if he has a change of heart. People still call him Arod lol. He’s still relevant and He’s dating J-Lo
And surprise, surprise.. If you go to Arod.com, It’s currently listed for $250,000 through Uniregistry market
This is why DNW is my favorite.
