Here are some of the domain names end users purchased at Sedo over the past week.
A lot of Sedo’s domain name sales over the past week are still in escrow, but there are still some notable end user sales to write about.
I think the buyers of GeoFencing.com and MarketForecast.com got great deals, although not as great as the buyer who picked up DWN.com (not to be confused with DNW.com).
I’m a bit unsure about the buyer of Mutu.com and Vixn.com, so we’ll have to see what develops there.
Here’s the list of end user sales I uncovered:
(You can view previous lists like this here.)
Casino.online $201,250 – We still don’t know who paid $201,250 for casino.online, but it’s definitely an end user at this price.
Mutu.com $17,500 and Vixn.com $7,596 – These domains were bought by Eden Sherry. An old screenshot at EdenSherry.com suggests that the buyer is a musician. The name also matches that of a Nest (Google) employee, but there could be other people with this same name. Regardless, the prices suggest the buyer has plans for the domain names.
SpotTheBall.com £10,000 – The domain name has whois privacy but the buyer has already uploaded a logo for its new site.
GeoFencing.com $6,500 – Haunted House Media will offer geofencing for haunted houses, escape games and more starting later this year. Not only is this cool, but they got a good deal on this domain.
MarketForecast.com $5,000 – ASDMedia publishes a number of niche market reports and hosts conferences. It got a good price on this domain name.
Progen.com €3,500 – PROGEN Biotechnik GmbH, which uses the domain name Progen.de.
Bike-Star.com $3,000 – Despite its name, Star-Trademarks in Germany is not a trademarking company. It creates bikes, scooters and skateboards.
Seavite.com $2,100 – Seavite Body Care sells beauty products and uses the domain name Seavite.ie.
iCareUniversity.com $2,000 – SoLo Eye Care in Chicago. It’s odd that they bought this domain rather than EyeCareUniversity.com.
Clark.co.uk £3,999 – A guy whose last name is Clark.
Equinix.in $3,590 – Cloud/data center company Equinix.
Cards.ch €2,000 – BonusCard.ch AG is a Swiss credit card company.
LeadIt.org $2,000 – SmithBucklin is a trade association management company.
DigitalGipfel.de €2,380 – Digital Summit, a technology conference. The domain name forwards to DE.digital.
Journals.org $2,417 – The domain name now forwards to Revues.org, a scientific journals site.
Arrival.co $4,950- Kenetik has some cool transportation/delivery technology.
Psychotherapie-duesseldorf.de €2,400 – a German therapy office.
People say EMD’s are dead but I keep seeing them sell to end users week in week out.
What he ⬆️ said. LOL
While it’s true that EMD’s don’t have as much impact in organic search as they used to I believe they still make great brands and marketing tools. Instant trust, credibility, perception of expertise, and saved marketing costs. To me those benefits are just as important as the impact an EMD would have in organic search.
Geofencing.com worth 50k-100k. What a deal. 99% people don’t know what it is yet. Just like Rick S said when you ask for 10k you get less. This was a 100k domain. They did not know what they have.
Thanks for the mention Andrew. I’m the buyer of GeoFencing.com.
Someone who saw this post offered me 10k for it but I’m not selling. Not even for 100k. I hope to have it developed in time for 2017 Halloween season.
Ralph, Great buy! the plural and singular of geofence(s) are the only other ones available.
You just got 1 of 3 goldmines. The Geofence is an up and coming tech that will shield and protect against many things but that is only a tiny part of it as you know. Good luck with the development.
Congrats. It looks like a cool idea.
