General Motors and Computer Associates among end users that bought domain names at Sedo.
This week’s end user domain sales list has something for everyone. There are big names, including GM and CA. There’s a trade association shelling out 55 grand for a .org domain name. There’s a five-figure .AI sale. And, for good measure, the new TLD .Bid makes it on the list.

Convenience.org $55,000 – The Association for Convenience & Fuel Retailing. This is an industry group for convenience stores and gas stations.
www2.com $22,800 – Yipping Inc, maker of enterprise search technology.
Automation.ai $10,000 – Here’s a bit end user buying a .ai domain: Computer Associates (aka CA).
InvestInAmsterdam.com $6,000 – The Whois record has someone in the Arab Emirates, but there’s also a new site on the domain promoting Amsterdam.
CleverTicket.com $4,890 – The buyer is forwarding the domain to SplitTicketing.com, a site that buying separate train tickets for each leg of the trip to save money.
VerticalCarousel.co.uk €4,600 – Modula S.p.A. makes “vertical lifts” for storage. (GoDaddy is selling the .com version for $4,500.)
Naturapedia.com €3,900 – GroupDC makes plan and animal care products.
WellnessGuide.com $3,700 – The buyer has Whois privacy but has already installed WordPress on the site.
CloudBliss.com $3,650 – Cox & Kings is a travel agency, so the clouds we’re talking about here are in the sky, not in data centers.
Whisky.bid $3,500 – Specialty Drinks Limited is a spirits seller that also runs The Whisky Exchange.
Good.ai $3,000 – Douglas de Jager‘s latest company?
LumeWorks.com $2,780 – Lume is a salesforce training tool from Strayer Education, Inc.
Stoffwechseldiaet.com $2,750 – stoffwechseldiaet roughly means “Metabolism”. OIM24 GmbH & Co bought the domain and already has a site up about nutrition.
ThermoGroup.com $2,500 – ThermoGroup sells electric heating systems.
Envas.com £2,500 – Neopsis GmbH is a technology firm that is creating the “Envas Framework”.
Badoo.nz £2,500 – Badoo is a location-based dating app by Badoo Media Limited. The company owns Badoo.com.
Zaxie.com $2,500 – Gennaro, Inc. is a jewelry company. It owns a lot of brands, so maybe this is a new one?
CanadianDream.ca $2,250 – General Motors of Canada
LeasingVergleich.com €2,100 – Leasfinanz GmbH & Co. KG. The domain translates loosely to “leasing comparison”.
PlaySpin.com $2,000 – The buyer also owns StayBet, an online gambling site.
Parametrik.net $2,000 – The company says it will change cleanliness in the operating room. Other than that, its website is still under development.
