How to make money from emails sent to your domain names.
Domainers already monetize web traffic to their domain names. But what about email sent to their parked domains? Today’s guest, Greg Kraios, runs an email analytics company that will pay you to send your email traffic to its new Mailbox Park platform. Also, lots of news this week: Antitrust investigation, $1.5 million domain sale, Negari’s big court win, Bags.com, PayPal fee increase and much, much more.

Here is a how to guide on getting started with MailboxPark
~ Create a Mailboxpark https://www.mailboxpark.com/login/register — free account, cancel anytime, no hassle
~ Click Add Domain (for manual input), Upload Domain (for list upload), or use our API
~ View the My Account tab to obtain your MX records or API key
To be non-disruptive to what you are currently resolving on your domains or the service you are using, do the following if you do not control your own DNS:
~ Use http://domaintoipconverter.com/ find the IP Address of the current service your domain is using (e.g., SedoParking, Afternic, Uniregistry, etc.)
~ Visit your domain name registrar and set your name servers to the registrar’s default name server
~ Visit the DNS management section at your registrar and make the following updates:
~ A Record: Set to the IP Address where your domain name is currently resolving to (from the DomainToIpConverter site)
~ CNAME : Set Name to “www” and Value to “@” — this makes your domain resolve when somebody types “www.”
~ MX Records: Set to the two records assigned to you in the My Account tab of your MailboxPark account
~ Save changes — don’t forget to save!
We are working on an easier process to do this and hope to have that available soon. In general, the above seems harder than it really is 🙂
Any questions, please ask.
~ Click Add Domain (for manual input), Upload Domain (for list upload), or use our API
