From Pets.TV to Cars.TV, this production company has some great .TV domain names.
A DNW reader was watching TV with his grandson recently when he came across a program on NBC called Pets.tv.
He was curious, so he started looking into the show and discovered that it is produced by a company called Entertainment Studios that uses the domain name ES.TV.
It turns out that Pets.tv isn’t the only one-word .TV domain it has attached to a programming channel. It also has channels called Comedy.TV, Cars.TV, Automotive.TV, Pets.tv, MyDestination.TV, JusticeCentral.TV and Recipe.TV.
It’s a very curious model. Check out the video on their site that runs through all of their .TV stations.

What a coincidence, 10 minutes ago regged a .tv for a production company, lol. Must be an Omen.
.tv is a perfect fit for online video, .tv stations. Lot’s of big companies using .tv, such as BMW.tv, MLB.tv, etc. When in Europe I noticed lot’s of .tv websites from be end users.
His name is Byron Allen. he is ahead of his time with all these great .TV domains
these .TV domains are real cable channels you can watch 24/7. .TV is the future there are only a handful of domainers that own all the great one word .TVS but they don’t post on domaining.com but in the coming years they are going to be VERY RICH.
TV has been around for 100 years
com around 20. I think I will invest in .TV from now on since video, 3d, live stream is the future. you want to look at pics go to .com you want to watch TV , video, live stream virtual reality go to .TV
.tv has been around for a long as .com and despite speculators predicting it will be the next big thing over the last 20 years that has never come to be. Most video centric sites use .com including the vast majority of new ones.
I don’t know about you but as for me and billions of people we watch TV in our homes and on billions of smartphones, we don’t watch com. xfinity, sling, direcTV and every other TV cable operator promotes TV. no one says watch com. even 3 letter .TVS are getting $XXX,XXX those domainers who owns one word .TVS are in the money that’s all. the worlds largest livestream website is a .TV and is owned by Amazon.
“tv” is not the same as “.tv”, the fact is these names barely sell and the usage is limited to one specific niche. Mostly it is tv shows with websites, websites tied to tv commercials etc but still even then the vast majority use .com in those specific areas.
Regarding “even 3 letter .TVS are getting $XXX,XXX”, the only case is usa.tv for $125k and that is the all time record sale for a .tv domain. To put in in perspective .live has seen better sales and who bothers with that extension?
Murray, if you want to lose a bunch of money go ahead.
Television? The word is half Greek, half Latin. No good can come of it.
—Charles Prestwich Scott, British journalist and publisher, 26 October 1846 – 1 January 1932
and et you and billions of people watch it everyday. A Mitchell is another person mad about the fact he missed out on the best one word .TVS
Very interesting and impressive at the same time. Automotive.tv is probably a new one; its not in the video. Cars.tv and Automotive.tv – Smart people behind this place.
They are many lucky .tv investors that I personally know who have sold .tv in the 6 figures, such as usa.tv to Simon Cowell. Most of them don’t disclose there sales because they are still buying. I just wish I invested in .tv earlier, but starting to do now.
Nathan,
It is mostly hype to try and encourage domainer buyers. The reason why they talk about non disclosure is very few sales are reported and that is simply a counter argument against the obvious conclusion. Most .tv domainers owners are desperate to try and convince people these names have value. That is why in the past we have seen all sorts of shenanigans in the .tv space such as fake sales, non disclosure of renewals and excuses such as the NDA one.
Lack of sales + high renewals = very bad outcomes.
you are foolish. live.tv was sold for $500,000 and that was years ago. all the great one word .TVS are owned by the same small circle of guys and they don’t have time to gossip.
It is another garbage sale Dave, put it in the same basket as England.tv, Golf.tv and Beauty.cc. Domainers can get on forums and post this stuff up but no reputable reporting agency would ever publish it as a genuine sale.
Domaining.com is not reputable? GOLF.TV is listed there as being sold for $600,000 you are not a serious person. you need help.
Roman, the list has lots of fake sales on it.
The word ‘television’ is already arcane and restrictive, but even if we never get the jetpacks we were promised, like holographic 3D with Smell-o-vision, .tv is a non-starter. Authenticity and data security, ensured via the intuitive in the apex suffix, is required. In every field of trade, including this one. (Hulu.com, Netflix.com, Apple.com, HBO.com, Amazon.com, Showtime.com, Sling.com…)
What is the objective of the branding wizards at ‘Entertainment Studios: A Global Media Company?’ To have Earth’s last luddite grandma get phished renewing her subscription at ‘CentralJusticetv.xyz?’
big money companies invest in .TV its not for trolls named snoopy who invest in xyz or .horse you trolls are not Jeff Bezos, MLB.TV UFC.TV or People.tv or Time.TV
There is no value in a bunch of names redirected to the .com.
100% agree with Snoopy here.
I know these guys from old times in domainstate and sometime wish I had listened to them that time. I never purchsed .tv, had few other original extensions and dropped almost all in last 5 years except a low two-digit .org names…now portfolio is 99.9% dot-Com.
Btw, there million times better alternative than .tv which I have amassed with over 1000 names in last 10 years.
Never buy a domain with high renewal cost 🙂
Snoopy, I personally know the guy who sold Live.tv for $500,000. And those dudes that own single letter or single number .tv I personally know some of them who sold for over 200K. NDA is smart, because they want to keep buying, they have nothing to prove, money in bank. You sound bitter Snoopy. I am bitter (lol) I wish I would of invested in .tv years ago, instead of that crap like .co, .cc. Outside of .com, .tv is hands down the 2nd best extension out there.
So you know the guy…he is telling people about the sale, but also has an NDA and has nothing to prove. All the while DNJ won’t go near the sale.
GOLF..TV sold for $600,000 and is listed on domaining.com’s top sales. i think snoopy is a trumpster who thinks UFO lizard people are controlling the world. Snoopy lives in an “Alt” universe.
The same list also includes,
beauty.cc $1,000,000 February 1999
1stbandwidth.com $800,000 March 2000
music.mobi $616,000 December 2007
You believe all those as well Roman?
